This is Part 2 of All the Leaves Are Brown and the Sky Is Grey, I Went for a Walk. If you haven't read and commented on that post yet, feel free to do so now. Or bake a PIE for me.
To nudge myself to "sort of" blog regularly (FAIL), I told myself to write a new entry after the latest post reaches 5 comments. I'm thinking that wasn't such a bright idea 'cause it didn't take long... And yet, this post sat in finished but unpublished state for over 2 weeks. You may thank Nix for triggering this post, but don't blame her for this latest visual assault.
If you're a long-time reader of fruityoaty, then you'll know that I don't make it a habit of posting pics of myself or people whom I know. For prudent reasons. Yes, that strange bespectacled Filipina wearing a red hoodie and dark brown suede jacket, in the middle of a forest is... me. My version of Little Red Riding Hood in the Woods. (Oh noesss! Mad cow rhyming disease!)
If Oprah Winfrey can start her own magazine and plop her Photoshopped face on the cover every month, then I too may allow myself to pull an Alfred E. Neuman trick every month. What, me worry? Pshaw. I'm more perplexed with Oprah's constant proselytising about "living your authentic self" when it's rather obvious that her saddlebags were brushed away with the magic of software. (But no Oprah bashing. Whaaat? I'm going to miss her show.)

Dear Santa, all I really want for Christmas is a shiny Pocket XShot camera extender to photograph and video myself easily when there's no one around to press the shoot button. Even with the "self-portrait" mode on my point-and-shoot Crap-Cam®, my noggin always ends up resembling a "goldfish bowl". Useless. Having short arms means holding the camera too close to your face which causes a barrel distortion effect. And a camera flash that close will blind you. Distance? Sometimes necessary. I'm just sayin'. Hover your mouse cursor over any image to read its description. Click on a thumbnail to view a larger image:
If you find yourself mostly alone in a forest populated with rabid squirrels... no monopod, tripod or Pocket XShot, you end up taking pics of your shoes and short arms. Or you could indiscreetly snap paparazzi pics of people and things passing by, but that's like... creepy.
For example, it's Fall... autumn leaves all around you. A stranger walking in a forest. Snap. A busload of school kids. Snap. See? Creepy. You should buy me a Pocket XShot. Coz what's a personal blog good for if you can't post narcissistic pics of yourself once in a while? :-P
"Before" and "after" shots of a house in my neighbourhood. Zzz. (Ah, but no snow here. Yet.)
Yes, I'm aware it's winter. All the leaves have fallen. So snow posts, coming soon! LOLZ.
Prolonged self-introspection... not always good. You could go nuts. Nuts are for squirrels.
Au revoir,
Massa P aka "fruity"
P.S. I usually hate reading posts like this, so I don't know why I wrote one. Or maybe I do.
OLDER POSTS

@Ami: Scary pics of me. Christmas miracle? More like Christmas nightmare, BOO! LOL.
@Nix: I'm lazier! I used to have a Flickr Pro account, but it got tedious uploading.
Pictures! Of you! It's a Christmas miracle! :-D
Uh-oh, my comment was too short. I guess I should also say that I'm jealous of all the colors you get there in Canada. The leaves alone, there's brown, red, yellow, and orange already. I hope you'll get to post summer pics next time. :-)
Hahaha! Thanks, I guess? LOL. I have pics but have not uploaded them. I'm too laaaaazy. :-(
Hi guys! Sorry, late replies. I wrote a NEW POST! BTW, I'm compiling a list of the few but awesome people who left comments on my blog in 2010. LINK LOVE POST coming soon! Names appear in the order of highest to lowest number of comments. You guys are on the list! If you want to appear higher on the list, drop more comments, LOL. And thanks!
@Nix: But I like your personal pics. ;-) Especially that "chomping a turkey leg" pic!
@Lexie: You'd take awesome autumn pics as you're very skilled at photography!
@Zerovoltage: Resurrect your dead blog soon! Please. Hehe.
@Pedro: I wrote those posts so long ago that I can't relate to them now. Different me.
@Jim: I think I'll be posting more photos and create a "gallery" area for my photos.
"Coz what's a personal blog good for if you can't post narcissistic pics of yourself once in a while?" OUCH. But then again, I haven't posted anything of the sort in a while. MAYBE I SHOULD. Maybe I will.
Anyway, WOOO! Speshul menshun! LOL. AND LOOK! A picture of you in a red hood. YAY! Whenever I think of you (see your name, read your posts, whatever), it's always Max that I see. I have no idea why. =
OK, I'm off to read the latest post. ;-)
Pretty pictures!
I've always wanted to experience autumn. Mostly because of the colors, everything looks so pretty.
It's good that you're back blogging, hehe... My blog is still dead. :-P
I agree with Jim. Nice shots! Love the colors. :-D
2 weeks? Well, congrats for eventually releasing this post. On an unrelated note:
Sigmund Freud postulates that during the 1st to 2nd year of existence, babies undergo a phase where they learn the "ability to give or withhold gifts at will". People who are stuck in this stage may over-analyse details and may continue to withhold things due to perfectionism. Perfectionism may ostensibly appear to be procrastination, when in fact the perfectionist is not bound by indolence but by abnormally high self-imposed standards. It is quite a breakthrough when an individual learns to relieve themselves of this burden of perfectionism.
How many postings are left unpublished? This blog needs an enema! Haha, just kidding.
Yeheeey! You're back! I admire your perseverance and I so love the photos! You might as well have a photo blog, too (well, I guess this blog will do). :-D
