The quirky directorial début of Drew Barrymore, "Whip It", had its world première at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). To help promote the film, the Toronto Roller Derby league (ToRD) held a public exhibition match at Yonge-Dundas Square, an event which was attended by the stars of the movie.
