Software Testing for Dummies!

Software Testing for Dummies Use your mastery of the mouse by clickety-clicking your mouse! You might just have a career in software testing. (OK, lame joke.) Hey, I'd certainly buy a copy if the book has a chapter on "How To Convince Management That Testing Is NOT Just Clicking and Hoping That Stuff Breaks". I'm referring to those occasions in every QA software tester's career when he or she must deal with software developers and managers who assume that testing doesn't require a great deal of skill, thinking, planning AND creativity. Gah.

Happy Birthday Rose!

Happy Birthday Rose!

Happy Birthday Rose! A shout-out (YO!) to someone I have not seen in almost 5 years. Holy crap, time flies. The fact that I have not seen her is probably my fault. Friends and family closest to me will attest to the fact that I have not always balanced the hustle bustle, disasters, people, etc. in my life, but those people "usually" forgive me because I've conditioned them to accept it, hehe. I like to think that I'm much better at it, now.

Look Ma, I'm Famous!

Hello world! Well... OK, I can actually count the number of readers on fewer than the fingers on one hand. And one of those readers is me. I know, neither very original nor witty. So, just three sentences into it and I am already crumbling under the pressure of writing the inaugural post! Yikes, this does not bode well for the heroine of this blog. I wrote a long About page and that felt a lot like writing my first post. Someday, I will have to have to trim it. It includes the why, a lot of crazy who, and what of this blog. I won't duplicate the "About" contents in this introduction post. Skip the déjà vu. If you missed the fruity oaty reason for the name of my blog, check it out here. ;-)

I wanted to start blogging a few years ago, but all the bad spelling and grammar proliferating on the internet depressed me. :-D I didn't want to add to my already sad state. My real reason for blogging is 'cause I'd like to document some things I want to remember in the future. Sort of a content management system for my aging, fuzzy brain. Also, I needed to cut back on instant messaging and e-mailing the same topics, files, etc. over and over to many different people. One time, one place, many people.

My blog will always be under construction. I like to tinker and break stuff. If you see something out of whack, it's probably because I am fiddling with something again. If something looks really, really wrong, check your eyes first or feel free to contact me.
