Happy Birthday Rose! A shout-out (YO!) to someone I have not seen in almost 5 years. Holy crap, time flies. The fact that I have not seen her is probably my fault. Friends and family closest to me will attest to the fact that I have not always balanced the hustle bustle, disasters, people, etc. in my life, but those people "usually" forgive me because I've conditioned them to accept it, hehe. I like to think that I'm much better at it, now.
I believe I sent Rose... flowers last year... and would have sent her flowers again this year (so unoriginal, I know) had it not slipped my mind. Oops, sorry? Eh, flowers die anyway, hehe. Rose used to be a project manager in a dot-com bust company where I toiled as a disgruntled software tester by day and sometimes, nights. Ahem, yes, I still resent the withholding of drinks to go with the free "overtime" meals. (Give me my Diet Coke and my lieu time.) Some PMs hold your Diet Coke hostage and some do not. And Rose belonged in the latter group.
Completely unbeknown to Rose (until now, I guess), she inspired me to question my spirituality or lack thereof. I was always under the impression that she had a very strong spiritual centre. Rose left the glamorous life of a corporate rat to study and become an elementary school teacher. Hopefully, she is teaching them something other than COMPUTERS. Seriously. Like the value of reading and correct usage of spelling and grammar. It might reduce all that crappy writing (oh, like mine) on the internet.
Anyway, may you, Rose... have a very, very shiny Happy Birthday today (and always)!

@Hodges: It's only because you have selective hearing i.e. your tendency to only remember sentences that include the words "hot gay man". BTW, TIFF Box 22 won the draw! Me, Box 27, baby! And you guys? Best.ever.sweet! :-D
Who is Rose coz I've never heard you mention her once in all these 5 years? More importantly, where's my 'dedication' page? Give me some 'mooooooooooo'.
