The Fat Cat says thank you

(Dear Blog, I suck.) Leave it to me, the habitual blog neglecter to write a New Year’s entry 11 weeks late. Oh Merciful Zeus. My sister warned me that if I continued to churn out link love / self-love promos, she’d stop reading my blog. Next, a friend complained, “You used to blog about sexy food… sort of. Now, it’s a blog about a cat.” (Ah, mon ami. Any day now, I’ll be blogging about cat food. Or sexy cat food. Or The Effects of Sub-Violet Light Spectrum Deprivation on the Development of Fruit Flies. But you’d still read my science experiment.) And so I return to the science fair to observe a blog milestone (2222+ comments) and to fulfill a blog meme tag. Meme tag virgin no more. I fended off that growing tag list since 2006, but today I succumbed to Momentary Evil Meme Effect. :twisted:

I Return… with a Very, Very Late Post-Birthday Post

The lazy creature known as Max the Fat Cat, a few weeks old

After 49 days of blog stasis wherein I probably lost regular readers and drove away potential subscribers, I’m back on the blogging scene, riding the dizzying whirligig of blog hopping, and returning comments one by one. To paraphrase Buffy, “Seize the moment, ’cause tomorrow your blog might be dead.” (OK, I’ve been looping episodes again.) I have good reasons why my blog has laid mostly fallow for the last 8 months, but let’s skip the explanation. Instead, focus on the chubby, fluffy, baby kitty in the basket. Aww, cute? That’s a photo of Max the Fat Cat when he was a few weeks old, BEFORE my Uncle gave him to my family. The author of this blog recently celebrated a birthday. Cat? :wink:
