Because I reached the Semi-finals round (Top 10 in Blogs category, LOL) of the 10th Philippine Web Awards, I qualified to compete in the People's Choice Awards (Best Blog voted by YOU). I received an invitation to attend the awarding ceremony and after-party on Friday, November 23. But I'm unable to go, 
so I'm giving away my ticket! Who wants it? Serious inquiries only, please. I asked a PWA Committee rep if someone else could go in my place. She replied, "Yes. Just send us the complete name of the proxy/attendee for our Master List." In related news, the award-winning self-titled "Philosophical Bastard", Paolo Mendoza (formerly of paolomendoza.com) is trying to pimp my PWA nomination. A riot!

"SMS and online voting are still on-going, with the deadline set at midnight on November 22. To vote, key in WEBBYS HELP and send it to 2973 for Globe and Touch Mobile and to 210 for Smart and Talk & Text. In order to take part in the online voting, register first at... philippinewebawards.com. There will be weekly draws, with a lucky voter having a chance to take home a cool prize... The Teatrino in Greenbelt Commercial Complex will serve as the venue on November 23, with pop bands Brass Monkeys and Join the Club set to light up the stage."
You may have the virtual ticket on 4 conditions (HOLLER ASAP):
- If I win (LOL, AS IF!), you will not accept the prize on my behalf as I'd rather have PWA folks handle the cost of shipping it out to me.
- You're a blogger who will blog about the event. I wanna know!
- You'll CONTACT ME at least 3 days before the event if you can't go.
- You'll absolve me of any blame, e.g. boredom, inebriation, etc.
If you're an unemployed bum, consider this an opportunity to schmooze with dull but connected reps from government, corporations, news media, etc. 
I'm not familiar with 69% of Philippine culture and locations, but I'm under the impression that the Teatrino is a nice venue and that food and drinks will be served. If the Teatrino was good enough for the birthday party that Philippine megastar Sharon Cuneta and husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan threw for Philippine megastar Judy Ann Santos... it can't be that bad, eh?
Ah, and Paolo Mendoza? Many of my regular readers will already know him as the award-winning Philosophical Bastard with a fearless never-say-die attitude and amazing self-marketing skills. Like me, he finds it hilarious that I'm up against some Big Name Bloggers at a rate of 1 - 2 posts per month.
It's a rather cheeky, lovely post where he gives step-by-step instructions on how to vote for fruityoaty and 6 reasons why you should vote for me. He even has a campaign slogan: "She Wacky, She Crazy, She fruityoaty."
"The Best Philippine Blog that Afforded the USD $5.00 Fee." BWAHAHAHA!
What's even funnier is that he tagged bloggers who have never heard of me (with the exception of Joyfulchicken): MLQ3, Adventures of the Coconuter, Jayvee Fernandez, and Heneroso. (They're muttering, "Who… ?")
Lastly, many thanks to everyone who (as I understand it) are rooting for my fat cat Max, the underdog (no, wait... undercat). Thanks, but do y'all realize I'm going to... lose? Ehrm, it's a popularity vote? Obscure blog? Next year, I'm plunking $5 to nominate someone worthy.

I voted for you, which means I really believe that you have all the potential. Even though you did not make it to the Top 5 finalists, for me… you and Vince are still the winners. True rewards are measured by how people recognize you "personally" on your talents and efforts, and not just a bunch of judges who seldom encounter you on blogs. I read your latest comment on my blog a few weeks ago and I believe you should not quit blogging. What you are experiencing is just a phase. I've been there, I should know. I'm very sure you will go a long way, even though sometimes I don't really get what you are driving at on most of your posts, hahaha. Anyway, stay firm.
