The Best Christmas Tree Ornament Ever!

Christmas Year Unknown: A younger Max under Christmas tree in our previous house
[ ACTUAL SIZE of cat is much bigger in ANY resolution  ]

If you’re a regular reader of fruityoaty AND you’ve been following the 3-part “I Made These Handpainted Christmas Tree Wooden Ornaments”, then you’ve guessed that the special 10th ornament I promised to post is none other than… my fat and lazy cat Max (under our Christmas tree in our previous house)! Well, I never said I made the 10th one, did I? Haha! I’ve also included photos taken last year of my family’s Christmas tree angel top and Christmas tree. Like my ornaments, the angel is also over 20 years old. We didn’t have a tree this year, but next year DEFINITELY!

Oh, you didn’t read those 3 posts? Peruse: PART 1, PART 2 and PART 3. If you haven’t received your X-mas card in the mail yet, check it out here!

This photo of my family’s Christmas tree angel top was taken last year during a Christmas party at our current house. She’s 20+ years old.

Christmas 2005: Christmas tree angel! Approx. 20+ years old?

… and here’s a photo taken (during the same party as above) of our Christmas tree bedecked with a lot of old trinkets including my cute, shiny wooden ornaments (they’re in there, somewhere). The theme is a mismash of toy soldiers, wreaths, balls, ribbons, Victorian framed photos, music sheets, red apples, satin hearts, mini stockings and lots of other stuff.

Well, my parents said we could have a Christmas tree NEXT YEAR only if my sister or I purchased a very short fake one. Boxing Day, here I come! On the plus side, there’s no tree to take down this year! No work!

Christmas 2005: Our Christmas tree! Approx. 20+ years old?

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were both quiet but lovely. I spent it with my family. My sister made sweet goodies, my Mom made Christmas Eve dinner, I went to 5:30 PM church mass with my parents on the 24th (where I was reminded that the REAL REASON FOR THE SEASON IS JESUS CHRIST, OUR SAVIOUR, but I also saw a couple of parishioners - one woman and one child wearing Santa hats). I made a simple, delicious Christmas Day dinner. My family LOVED it. I’ll blog about all that later.

I’ve got tons of stuff I’ve been wanting to blog about (lots of food photos I’ve been meaning to post), but that all takes time. Later.

Merry Christmas, peace, goodwill and adieu,

fruity & Max

I gotta say, your Christmas tree looks really nice! Bit crowded but nice.

I’m glad to hear your Christmas succeeded very well. Hopefully, New Year’s will be as great! :) So Happy New Year!

Wow your cat is huge and oh so orange! And he looks like he got caught doing something he’s not supposed to. Haha. That angel is gorgeous. Or maybe I just like the shiny light…

Sometimes you just have to remind yourself and others that it’s the birth of Jesus Christ we’re celebrating, not Santa. Heh…

I hope you had a splendid Christmas! It’s just that I’m terrified of cats lol. The top of the tree looks stunning; we have an angel but she’s only 12 years old.

In that picture, your cat looks almost fake, like one of those cat statue things.

The angel looks really pretty and sweet. I can’t believe it’s already 20 years old.

    And for some reason… I want to hug that tree of yours… o_o;

Awwww, what a BIG cute puddy tat!

Why would your parents want a smaller tree? Where would you put all those ornaments, huh? Then you’d have to box ‘em up or trash ‘em or donate ‘em or hold a garage sale. That requires just as much effort as putting up the tree in the first place.

Our old tree fairy used to be so old, it looked awful, so we’ve replaced it with a funky star! XD The picture of the tree looks gorgeous though with the ribbon.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas, biotch.

fruity’s New Year’s resolution: “I will quit posting pictures of my cat.” (Cats = death of a blog; Max = you)

Wow, I really love your Christmas tree… Surely beats ours by a mile, hahaha! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. :)

Pretty Christmas angel as well! Pretty but not something I’d like to own, as I think it would break easily due to some people in this household, lol.

Wow, the angel top is 20 years old? If that was in our family’s possession, it would have been broken in two months. Haha. :)

    Merry Christmas.
